Crawlspace Kitchen began in early 2021 during the height of the pandemic, when many households were searching for nourishing alternatives to takeout and relief from the demands of daily cooking. What started as a weekly meal delivery service quickly grew through word of mouth, as clients connected with our approach to fresh, nutrient-dense meals delivered directly to their doorsteps in reusable glass containers.
Based in the Bay Area, we built our menus around high-quality local ingredients and loved supporting small farms, producers, and businesses with exceptional products. From the beginning, our philosophy centered on thoughtful food: seasonal, balanced meals made with care for both people and the environment.
As Crawlspace Kitchen grew, we relocated to Denver, Colorado to explore life closer to the mountains and expand our culinary experience. During that time, Chef Tessa broadened her culinary repertoire as Head Chef for an Ayurvedic home delivery company, while also working as Sous Chef for Mediterranean food truck and catering company Lady in the Wild. These experiences deepened our understanding of healing foods, diverse flavor profiles, and cooking styles rooted in nourishment and community.
Now, we’re thrilled to return home to the Bay Area and reconnect with the community and families who helped Crawlspace Kitchen grow from the very beginning. Today, Crawlspace Kitchen has evolved into a more personalized in-home private chef service—offering fully customized, bespoke meal support designed around each client’s unique lifestyle, preferences, and nutritional goals.
